Wreaths Across America

Dear Friends,

On behalf of the Giordano Family we would like to extend a warm and since thank you to all that contributed to the Wreaths Across America event in the past.  As many of you know, this will be our sixth year  of our relationship with "Wreaths Across America".  What began as the laying of wreaths on our fallen heroes' headstones at Arlington National Cemetery / 8 years ago has now grown into a nationwide event involving thousands of volunteers at cemeteries throughout the country.  Under  the leadership of  Peter J. Giordano, in December of 2009, 2,500 wreaths were successfully placed at the Bourne National Cemetery.  It was Peter's goal to one day be able to honor every veteran, but that is a big, audacious goal.  Since the sudden death of  Peter  in 2010, his Family decided to continue his legacy and each year try and reach his goal.  We are already gearing up for this year's event and look forward to hearing from you as it soon approaches.

This year on behalf of  The Giordano Family and Civil Air Patrol, we invite you to come and join us at the sixth annual "Wreaths Across America" event on Saturday, December 14, 2019 at 12 noon at Bourne National Cemetery.  You can help us spread the word by sharing the story of the wreaths, what has been done, and what we will continue to do, by inviting others to join us in the mission to Remember, Honor, and Teach!

We are looking for financial support in order to purchase wreaths from the Worcester Wreath Company.  The company ships wreaths directly to the cemeteries and also donates ceremonial wreaths to honor each of the Services.   If you purchase a wreath and have a specific grave that you would like it placed on, please meet us in Bourne and place the wreath on your loved one~s grave.

As always, we are available to answer any questions you may have and we welcome your ideas and comments. Information regarding "Wreaths Across America" is available at their website "www.wreathsacrossamerica.org".

Checks can be made out to Wreaths Across America and be mailed to:

Joseph Giordano, 74 Morton Street, Waltham, MA 02453 - (781) 8914226 or,
Andrew Giordano, 3 Belmont Road, Burlington, MA 02180 - (781) 272-3745

We are making this commitment in memory of Peter Giordano.  We find inspiration in the legacy that Peter has left behind and it is a privilege to be co-chairpersons of the  Bourne National Cemetery's "Wreaths Across America" campaign.  Thank you in advance for your support.
